TAIJI QIGONG SHIBASHI

This restorative and energizing practice is performed in a smooth, continuous manner. These fluid movements combine breath work and exercises and are experienced as a gentle, flowing practice.

The movements increase energetic vitality, rejuvenate the body and mind, boost physical agility and flexibility. It is also an aid to reduce emotional tension and improve concentration.

Qigong is suitable for all ages and abilities.

We teach Qigong indoors or out in natural spaces. Whatever works for you. Being out in nature is a wonderful way to connect the practice to the elemental forces of our environment.

Hundreds of individuals in the local area have benefitted from our guidance, and we look forward to sharing our passion with you.

TAI CHI for ARTHRITIS and FALL PREVENTION

This practice is characterized by its soft, gentle and fluid movements which as performed in a slow and mindful fashion. This form was adapted from the Sun style of tai chi which offers higher stances, balanced stepping, fluid moves and qigong breathing. These components make the Sun style suitable for folks with arthritis and .or at risk of falling. Most of the high risk moves have been removed and replaced with ones that are more effective for health, making it safer to learn while maintaining all of the benefits the original form offers.

Practicing tai chi will effectively and efficiently allow you to slow down, relax, feel more positive, stronger and flexible. You will feel better about yourself as the quality of your life improves.

Testimonials

It was a wonderful day, just right in all ways. I appreciate how you and Liz work together in same/different ways to bring an array of ideas and wisdom to the teachings.

Lisa - participant Qigong and Forest Bathing Workshop

I was not sure what to expect but the day was just very nice. The group just felt very nice and made the whole event very enjoyable. There was a lack of tension and an overall feeling of almost family. I have noticed that during all of the classes you both watch and notice when someone is having problems. Then you show alternative ways such as sitting or otherwise adjusting.

Ed - participant Qigong and Forest Bathing Workshop

We began working with Carlos 15 years ago. Originally he was a head instructor in an innovative, nature based martial arts program, targeted to high school students. Eventually we began incorporating the principles of Nature Therapy, Qigong and Tai Chi. As we continued working with Carlos through the years we observed he has always been able to offer his students the experience needed at the moment. As a staff we always participated along with our students and gained many things from that interaction. Carlos is definitely effective in inspiring, engaging, empowering, and connecting with his students. His ability to pivot his instructional approach with the needs of the group is unequivocally an asset of his teaching repertoire. Our experiences with Carlos are multifaceted and memorable in the best possible way.

Carlos and Liz clearly love what they are doing. They are very knowledgeable in all aspects of this experience- the trees, plants, fruits, etc. It was a wonderful experience.
